PE & Sport Premium Funding

Oxley Primary School receives annual government PE and Sport Premium funding to improve the quality of physical education, sport and physical activity available to all pupils. For the 2024–2025 academic year, our funding allocation was estimated at £18,350.

We use this funding to provide high-quality PE lessons and strengthen teaching across the school. Staff benefit from professional development, specialist support and appropriate resources, helping to ensure clear progression in fundamental skills such as balance, agility, coordination, teamwork and confidence.

The funding also enables us to broaden participation by subsidising inclusive sporting opportunities during lunchtimes and after school. This ensures that children in every year group can take part in activities led by qualified specialist sports coaches, alongside competitions, inter-school events and additional enrichment opportunities.

We carefully monitor the impact of this funding to improve participation and performance, encourage healthy lifestyles and ensure that pupils leave Oxley with the skills, confidence and motivation to remain active beyond primary school.
