Family Support and Resources
At Oxley Primary, we understand that families may need additional support at different times. If you feel your child could benefit from extra help, you can start by making a My Self Referral. This process can help you access the right services without waiting for a referral from someone else, supporting timely advice and guidance for your child and your family.
When appropriate, many parents also choose to speak to their child’s GP first. A GP can listen to your concerns, assess any health or wellbeing needs, and recommend next steps. If further support is needed, the GP can signpost you to relevant services and help ensure that any concerns are addressed in a coordinated and safe way.
We encourage parents to seek support early and to use trusted routes such as school contacts, local services, and health professionals. If you are unsure where to begin, staff at Oxley Primary can help you understand options and point you towards suitable resources. You do not have to manage concerns alone—support is available, and taking the first step can make a real difference.
